Excessive heat tomorrow; heat index of 104 degrees possible

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Thursday is a 19 First Alert Weather Day due to the threat of extreme heat and high humidity.

Temperatures will soar into the low to mid 90s.

With the humidity factored in, it may feel as hot as 104 degrees.

It may be a little hazy at times, too.

Unfortunately, we won’t have any rain around during the day to cool us off.

In the meantime, tonight will be very quiet, but it’s going to be a lot warmer than recent evenings.

Temperatures will fall into the upper 60s and lower 70s by Thursday morning.

After a break from the rain, showers and storms will return to the forecast on Friday.

A cold front is going to set up shop nearby from Friday through Sunday, and this will be the focus mechanism for showers and storms throughout the weekend.

It won’t rain constantly this weekend, but there will be storms in the area from time to time.

It will also be quite humid this weekend with highs in the low to mid 80s.
